Look I'm not a baseball savant but I think walking the first batter of every inning with a 1 run lead is not really the best way to go about things.

I dont mind the DH but the one thing that bugs me with the Cubs is that they don't have a pure hitter as their DH(it's basically Tauchman) but he plays the field to give regulars rest as DH. They only have 4 guys on the bench to PH but 1 is a catcher, 1 is the defensive 3Bmen, and the other 2  arent exactly good hitters.

They're kinda screwed with bench guys

Neris is legit. Almonte and cuas have been weird relievers to seek out.

I don’t really know how you fill all these innings when you basically have 3.5 starters and can only carry 8 relievers and you’re constantly playing in 37 degree rain.

Yeah, including tonight the last turn through the rotation has gotten a combined 21.2 IP, that is, uh, going to lead to some runs given up from the bullpen when you make relievers throw more than half the innings.

It increases double play chances.

Sigh. Really wish counsel had gone to the pen before giving up the first two horsefeathers runs. Then he horsefeathers puts Cuas in who is pure dogshit. Granted, a reliever shouldn’t give up horsefeathers like 5 runs to get 2 outs, but he’s looked like horsefeathers every single outing.

So first 10 games of the season:

1. Blow a 1 run lead in the 9th inning and lose

2. Blow a 6 run lead in the 8th inning but come back to win

3. Blow an 8 run lead in the 6th inning and on track to lose

There is literally no one in the pen I feel comfortable with right now.  I know I'm partially overreacting to the fact that we blew an 8-0 lead, but horsefeathers this is rough to watch.

You cant tee up Darvish like that and lose, especially with TBD going against Musgrove and Hendricks against Cease the next 2 games.

Well probably lose, it’s a bad loss, etc.

butttt…it would be really amazing to make a comeback off Mr. $100m-has already blown multiple games-reliever

edit: leaving this here as a sign of my stupidity, obviously ignore

2 baserunners in the last 5 innings, one of them immediately cancelled out by a double play.  Cubs just seemed to stop playing in the 5th inning lol
