JD mentioned this yesterday, but if the ump is consistently calling pitches off the edges strikes, is that okay? So long as he’s been consistent?

Wicks' FB velo today is a smidge higher than his average from last year.  Given that it's pretty cold today, it makes you feel better that his velo from Sunday (where he was up a full MPH) is real.  Given everything else he does a full MPH is pretty transformational.  Exciting stuff.

Wonder how deep the Dodgers let Yamamoto go.  He's clearly in control now but those were two very high stress innings early.  If he only goes 5 I feel good about getting to the Dodgers' bullpen.

Wicks playing with fire a little too much against this team, just hope he don't get burned.

Someone from the cubs need to get that big hit and get them on the board.

Cuas immediately comes in to throw gasoline all over Wicks' great day. Looks like late stage Carlos Marmol

bad bad bad for Cuas, 4 out of 5 uncompetitive pitches

Finally throws a competitive pitch that Muncy tattoos. Awful result.

Cuas doesn’t have any business on the big league team until he can throw strikes repeatedly…

Good thing he took Wicks out, 🙄

Letting a lefty face Teoscar Hernandez for a 3rd time would be a horrendous decision

Karros nailed it. Wonder if Cuas’ inability to get near the plate in his first 5 pitches made Counsel leery of walking them full despite the right/righty matchup.
