What does the weather look like?

Rain is supposed to hold out until closer to 3 now.  They'll likely get this in, even if it's not the full 9 innings, knowing how bad the next two days look.

Hopefully that's the case. I was worried Imanaga's start would be impacted by delays resulting in him being pulled early.

Hopefully, they get all three games in. The Cubs need to take 2 of 3 from these tomato cans. That's what good teams do.

We'll see if the nerves of his first game or or the cold mess him up, but Imanaga with the wind blowing in should be more or less a cheat code

Cubs and Rockies have a mutual day off Thursday so If one of these 3 get rained out they can push it to then. Although the Weather looks like horsefeathers all week

Excited to see Imanaga go today. He seems like a genuinely likeable personality from the little I can see and his stuff is funk-elite. Bodes well for him to be an enjoyable part of the roster and a fun presence on the mound.

One thing lost in the 1-2 start is how hard the Cubs hit the ball in that series, for the most part. If they continue to do that, they are going to win.

I also like that the wind is blowing in.  Certainly will help keep the ball in the yard

Ballgame is on MLB Network (free) for those not in Chicago or without MLBTV. Also, many cable/sat TV providers will provide the game for free this week.  Pretty certain Xfinitiy does.

Really good inning. Only "mistake"-ish pitch was the fastball that didn't get to the shadow-zone to Blackmon (fly out). Everything else was basically how you'd draw up Imanaga's success. Good start.

Blackmon made some pretty loud contact, but locked down after that. Though I'm sure for other reasons you'd prefer another 20-30 degrees on the thermometer, you can't really ask for an easier debut start.

Fun fact: this series will be the 4th, 5th and 6th straight games at Wrigley Field against the Rockies.  Colorado made their only appearance at Wrigley in the final home series of the season and are now playing in the Cubs home opener.
