Northwestern having a chance to be Bowl eligible this week has to be the most under rated huge surprise of this CFB season. Yes I know the B1G west is an embarrassment, but I still would have thought there was no chance that Nwestern would win more then 3 games this season

It's been one of those stories it's a shame no one is paying attention to. David Braun has made a really good case to retain the head coach position.

The statistical argument doesn't carry much weight for me. It's so context-dependent. How many passes are they throwing? Who are the other guys those QBs are throwing to? (Emeka Egbuka at OSU might also be a 1st rounder). Watching MHJr play is like watching a pro. He dominated King from PSU, who is also probably a 1st/2nd rd guy.

And this is no knock on Burden or Nabers, it's just that MHJr is that good.

Yes, he may go 1.1 depending on who gets the pick. I could see a team trading up to get him. He's that good.

You have to look at who is throwing these guys the ball. Odunze is supposed to be a top 15 pick and has more receiving yards than MHJ, but if MHJ had Penix(#1 in passing yards) throwing him the ball he'd be blowing away the rest of the receivers by a healthy amount. The same thing with Malik Nabors and Jayden Daniels(#3 in passing yards). Meanwhile Kyle McCord is 20th.

I think this is well deserved for how this season has played out, but FOR THE LOVE OF GOSH AND HIS SON JEEPERS -- sponsoring a job title can horsefeathers off. Kirk Ferentz is the "Moon Family Head Football Coach".

There's a lot of game left... but the refs picked up a PI flag that would have gone against Iowa where the DB hit the receiver early and never looked back for the ball... Illinois got 3 on the drive. Next possession for Iowa, QB throws a ball 5 feet over the WR's head and Illinois is flagged for PI on 3rd down, extending a drive that resulted in a TD... I don't think it will matter since Illinois apparently forgot how to play defense after the Minnesota game, but still

They can still win the Big Ten West! Granted one of the things they need to happen is Minnesota beating OSU today(down 20-0)

That is not the case, they just need Wisconsin to beat Nebraska and then Minny to beat Wisconsin.

EDIT: I thought you meant Illinois. NW does need a weird tiebreaker. Illinois just needs to win twice and not tie Wisky or Nebraska in the standings.

FSU down to North Alabama AAAND just lost their QB to a gruesome injury

They're not going to lose, but probably will fall out of the Top 4
