They start in roughly an hour. I am really liking this team. Chandler and Curry look like they are finally ready to be healthy. Hinrich is going to be something special imo and I have high hopes for Andres and Deng. I think that if they stay healthy they will get a playoff berth. What do you other Bulls fans think?

I just haven't been able to get excited over the Bulls since the Jordan days. I know that's unfair, but it's true.

God I miss the Jordan days. That man was Amazing. That TEAM was amazing.

Well they are getting blown out right now, but I still think this team is going to be good real soon. I think they are like the Bears, they are just a superstar and a little momentum from being a dominating team.

Me too. What this is right now is growing pains. Davis and Curry can't play until after the pacers game so the Bulls have no inside game and not much veteran leadership. Plus this is the first real NBA game for almost everyone on the floor.

But where do we get that superstar? :|

EDIT: And the Bears are a being healthy, adding a reciever or two and maybe an LT from being dominating, imo. They don't necessarily need a superstar.

Maybe not this year, but I know Paxson stocked up on expiring contracts so we should have alot of cap room after this year. (I don't know who is a free agent next season though (besides our guys)).

Holy Crap, Hinrich must have went on a tear I stopped following online and now I look and it's TIED ! Looks like Deng is having a good first game as well.

Swearing = BAD

Just a pointer

And WOW

HOW ARE THE BULLS LEADING!?

I went and played GTA and I come back to the Bulls leading 92-90. Amazing. Luol Deng with a double double in his NBA debut. I love that kid.

Nets win 111-106 in 2OT.

But there are bright spots abound. Kirk Hinrich puts up a career high of 34 points. Deng and Andres both put up double doubles in their NBA debuts. Not bad for these young guys. Keep in mind Antonio Davis and Eddy Curry couldn't play tonight due to 2 game suspensions. I am liking this team.

Simply an amazing effort by the Bulls last night. Just by the stat line, you can tell the Bulls brought in hustlers who can play: Nocionni with 17 an 14, Deng 18 and 10, Duhon with 6 assists. This is without mentioning Kirk's 34! If the Bulls had their size, AD and Curry, they would of won.

On the downside, it was the Nets. Yes, the Nets were a good team, but talent wise, they're just awful now. Bulls need to up their D, but its early, and they're young. IT should be interesting to see how Chandler and Curry find their roles, because as of right now, the nucleus is forming into Nocionni, Hinrich, and Deng.

My early dissapointment is Gordon. I've grown to like the pick of Gordon, but hasn't shown one good thing yet. I was impressed with him in summer league, but right now, he looks like an odd fit. Similar to Jamal Crawford. You can see the talent, but its not meshing. I'm probably being too picky because i'm bitter that they didn't select Devin Harris. Devin by the way is playing pretty well in Dallas.

oh good, the absence of comcast on directv is already causing problems *sigh*

hmm... Last night's game was actually on WCIU, and Comcast IS on DirecTV... I believe it's channel 640...

Just a heads up, since tonight's game is on there.

I think the Bulls last night showed exactly what you'll get from them this season, a whole lot of inconsistantly. The Nocioni signing was awesome. I listened to one of the preseason games on the radio and it was crazy how fans at the beginning of the game were like 'who are you', and by the end of the game they were giving him a standing ovation. He didn't look too good on D from what I saw of the game, but he does hustle and play a really good style of basketball. My prediction is the Bulls finish 35-47 as long as the bottom doesnt fall out early.

My thoughts on the bulls..... gonna be a rough year.

Chandler sucks....he really does, he's 20-21 and has chronic injuries. (my dad is 65, played highschool/college football for 8 years and his back is fine). I miss Elton Brand.

As for Curry, losing weight was a major plus for him. If he can avoid early foul trouble, the man's gonna do some damage in the East. Heinrich is awesome, the leader on the court.

Noicini (however ya spell it) can be very good at times, but I think he takes way too many shots per game. Seems like every time he gets the ball, he drives the lane and throws it off the glass. He hustles, but needs better shot selection.

BUlls will win 21 games this year, and have some fun in the off season. The big free agent will be tim duncan, so let's go get 'em

Luol Deng is officially my favorite Bulls rookie. 25 points and 5 boards. Wow. And look! Gordon didn't suck tonight!!!

Bulls lose by 10 at Indiana tonight (good for you, JC  ), but a good effort w/o thier best defensive big man, bet offensive big man, and without thier best player for the last 10 minutes (Heinrich). Deng looks like he's going to be scary, Scottie Pippen good, and the team plays real hard. Even Ben Gordon had a decent game, which will be good for the kid's confidence.

I see 30 wins, and next year I see playoffs barring no injuries.

I haven't seen either of the games yet, but the Bulls look like they finally have a direction this year. I wasn't happy with the Gordon pick (wanted a SG with height Igoudala or Childress), but Deng looks to be a very good player. Heinrich was the steal of the 2003 draft outside of Detroit skipping over Melo to let him go to Denver. For the first time in a few years, the Bulls didn't throw big money at a horrible player (ERob, Jalen) and didn't trade for trash (still bitter over the Artest and Miller trade for Rose and Best), although the original Mutombo trade scared me.

This team finally has legitimate building blocks in Heinrich, Deng, Nocioni, and Curry....something you couldn't say since the Jordan years.

Believe me, seeing Heinrich playing for KU, he's a very gutty ball-player and he'll give you 100% every game in and game out.

He'll be a heck of a good leader once he gets some experience. Hang on to this kid if ya can. He's a tough kid. I can't remember what game it was, but it was in the NCAA tournament where he severely sprained his ankle, and he wasn't expected to play the next game, yet he does and scores some 30 points.

All depends on Curry, I think they will have enough offense from their starting 5 and top 3 reserves to compete, but they need a lock down defender at the 2/3. Teams can score at will, if they have a SG that can post up. They lack size at the guards and are not yet good enough to play team defense.

I think they'll be much improved on the glass.

Yep, that's why I wanted Igoudala. He has all the makings of a great defender (long arms, quickness).

Hopefully, they do it through the draft in the 2nd round. Igoudala would have been a great pick in the 1st.

I hope the Bulls select that SF out of Serbia in June, no chance in spelling his name. I like Conley from Missouri to fill that role of guarding SF/SG.
