Curry and Chandler (Chandler was a freakin monster against the Bucks no offense but he was just destroying the ball) show signs, but I don't know...

I don't know where they stand in the Bulls' future plans, but I think things have really soured on the Curry front.

Rais, if Curry keeps putting up 20 and 6 like he has been for the past few weeks everything will be fine. Also, if the Bulls are winning, you watch how quickly the trade rumors stop. I've had the chance to watch the last 2 games, and I have really liked what I have seen out of Curry. He is still somewhat lazy on the defensive end, and probably should be getting more rebound. On the other hand, the kid is still really young, and I am almost to the point of being scared to trade him. Right now every team is trying to fleece the Bulls, and I dont trade him unless an offer comes for somebody that is a gurantee. Chandler, well the kid has absolutely no offensive game. He makes Rodman look like an offensive genius. However, when he comes in he finds the ball. Either blocking shots, rebounds, or loose ball. If Curry can keep up the offensive production, along with Kirk, and Gordan(who has been on a roll of late) then I can live with Chandler being a defensive stud.

I agree that Curry has been impressive. I just don't know if he'll be in the Bulls plans for much longer since he demanded a trade. Isn't he a free agent after this season? I don't think he wants to come back. I have always had a feeling that we'd finally develop Curry (and Chandler) and they'd leave. :(

It'd be nice to have Curry back next year and draft a PF (if we don't have to surrender our first round pick to Phoenix) - someone like Chris Taft or Hakim Warrick (if he bulks up a bit).

I know what you are saying Rais about Curry demanding a trade and stuff. However I think it all comes down to they are all buying into Scott Skiles finally, and they are seeing results. Curry is a free agent at the end of the year, and supposedly he wants the max contract that a player can get for his first free agency. If Curry continues to play like this all year, I could see Pax offering the contract to Curry. Whether he takes it or not, probable depends on how the team does the rest of the year. Curry has shown glimpses of maturity lately. His screwup in the Dallas game was stupid, but he also the other night was benched in the 4th quarter of a game the Bulls eventually won. In years past Curry would have been pouting and pissed about Skiles benching him, but when asked this time, he responed with" I dont care if Im in the game or not in the 4th, as long as THE TEAM wins the game." That was probably the first time I have heard Curry give up himself for the sake of the team, and its good to hear. I think Eddy will change his mind if he starts producing night in night out(like lately) and the Bulls win(like lately). He is from Chicago and the the fans, media, and front office has been very critical of Curry, but I think if he shows he can play then everybody turns into praising him and he becomes the Chitown basketball idle. So I just hope he continues to improve, because his offensive game is very good.

On to another thing, how do all the Bulls fans here(I know there are like 5 of us I think at least lol) think of the job that Skiles has done? Yesterday I was hearing comparisons of him to Jerry Sloan? It seems like the team has started buying into his physical, no nonsense defense and they are playing much better. Just wanted to get everybody elses opinoins on Skiles.

Thanks for the response on Curry. If it seems like he's being a team player and responding better to Skiles, that's great to hear. I can't say anything about Skiles because I haven't watched enough games or read enough to get a feel for him. He seems to be doing well thought, and I like his physical, defensive style.

We're 3 games out of a tie for the last playoff spot.

Well, I feel obligated to post in here, and not let this thread slip off the front page since the Bulls are now on a 3, yes I said 3 game winning streak. I can't believe that none of the other Bulls fans posted the blow out of INDY last night. I was working, but it looks like Curry had another good game 23 and 13. They held the Pacers to 71 points and Tinsley had almost half the points. Dont look now, but the Bulls are creeping up the ranks in defense. Also, they are out of the basement in their division. Anybody know whos up next? The Bulls will be going for their first 4 game winning streak since 1998!! All us Bulls fans remember that year quite well. Come on Bulls fans keep this thread on the front page, this is the most fun us Bulls fans have had since 1998!

I said on here during the baseball game chats I thought the bulls would be better this year. If they let Curry and Chandler go and start rebuilding again I am done rooting for them. I have stood by all this time expecting them to keep the two young centers knowing it would take a few years to be competitive. If they give up now that they are showing signs of progress I am out.

FOUR GAME WINNING STREAK!

Now, I'll chime in on Curry. He's basically the big hope for this team. He's the only bona fide building block they have. His offensive touch is really well developed. He just needs to get in shape a little more and mature. The offensive skills are there. Maturity and stamina will help him pull down some more boards and keep him from getting the ball stripped, throwing balls away and such.

But giving him away would be a mistake. His numbers really aren't bad. He could pretty easily develop into a 20/10 guy with a damn good field goal percentage really quick, especially if he gets the minutes he should be getting.

Who else do they build around? Chandler has amazing athletic ability but does really make Rodman look like an offensive genius, and he still lacks the strength. I'll get excited about Hinrich when he can hit over 40% of his shots. Isn't happening anytime soon. I hate to say it, but he's overrated. It's still too early on Deng and Gordon.

If they let Curry go, they are taking a big step back. Centers that can put of 20/game aren't that common.

4 in a row, with I believe Detroit coming up on Weds. Antonio Davis playing with a broken jaw, had 12 points and 12 boards tonight. Gordan led in scoring with 23 and Curry had 18. Their defense is climbing up the ranks as one of the better D's in the league. This is at least getting fun to watch and keep an eye on.

"We haven't played a lot of teams this year but I think that Chicago runs the best system I've seen all year," Portland guard Damon Stoudamire said. "They got great spacing on the floor and they made it hard and difficult to guard them because of the spacing they have. And they have a great one-on-one player in Ben Gordon."

hinrich is too good to shoot under 40% for too much longer, he can play, and a point guard who distributes the ball the way he does is not a common thing in this league, he makes everyone better when he's out there. as for deng and gordon, i think we have the real deals with them. ben's short, but he's got a tad bit of ai to his game.

I read the same quote but it said "we've played a lot of games this year" not "haven't".

There is a quote in one of the papers I read today comparing Zach Randolph and Eddy Curry. Randolph has already been given the contract that Curry wants, and when asked about Randolph, Curry said" I hope to have that one day too. This is where I want to be. We are really starting to believe in ourselves every night. We can play with anybody." That isnt the exact quote but it was something like that. The main thing is, Curry said he wants to be here, which is different from earlier in the season.

Curry has said some really nice things to the media lately. I have really warmed to Curry (again). This team is really exciting right now, Detroit will be a big test.

The Bulls are three back of Boston for that last spot and four back of reeling Indiana for the 7th spot in the playoffs. If they end the season at .500, I think they're in.

Look how many posts this thread has gotten with the win steak! :D

Oh ok I just seen it run on the bottom of ESPN 2 and just got a quick glimpse. 38 points in the first half huh? Their D is really starting to be pretty damn good. Is Ben Wallace playing?

Wow just wow. For a young team like this to go on the road to Detroit, and beat the defending Champs, just WOW. I will take a quote from one of my all time favorite movies...."Startin to come together boys, starting to come together"!!

Holy cow - they won?! I missed it... I've been tuning in for the 4th quarter the last 3 games and the Bulls are finishing really strong.

5 in a row!! Da Bulls!
