I’m sick of getting 2nd and 3rd with 0 outs and only getting a single run on a sack fly. The Cubs set themselves up for so many big innings and then just shoot themselves in the foot repeatedly.  1 run is better than 0 obviously but some of these should be 2+ run innings

I second. They have an inning where they get 2 to 3 men on base, and then they leave them on either due to strikeouts or fly outs.

His arm isn’t actually that bad, wondering why it looks that way tonight.

His arm also isn’t good.

That barehanded play he gripped it like a changeup and it came out of his hand like that too. I can’t say I’ve watched him play much, but I wouldn’t judge his arm on that play too harshly.

Wow Morel just vaporized that ball.

Yeah.  I think he has figured out he has the power to really hit the crap out of the ball to the RCF gap.  If he continues to do that, he will be a key to the rebuild that wasn't really counted on.

There is no way that Morel homer was only 429 feet.  It was murdered and it went into the second deck in CF.  The LCF fence is 411 ft.

I didnt really watch much of the game (ironically I turned it on one pitch before Morel homered), but just went back and watched Mervis' game tying 2B and that was a really nice piece of hitting.  Hopefully giving him consistent ABs is allowing him to settle in and gain some confidence.

The Twins Daily fans are turning on minnesota.  He is still posting in their game thread after the Cubs won which is annoying them.

I'm sure it's totally normal for guys to come up from AAA and almost immediately start hitting lasers and blasting opposite field second-deck shots in high-leverage spots, right?
