eberflus sucks so much he can’t even get his qb who will sell tons of jerseys and generate all kinds of buzz an obvious roughing call even though it’s a regular occurrence

Is that a skill a coach has?

It is, somehow

His legs are shot and his shoulder is hurt, but keep running him out there for that 4-7 record.

Honestly even if he turns out to by Ok I’d consider restong him next week. He needs a break. Or maybe just not run him 18 times a game

Also would be nice to not have to wait until the season is almost over before they get a bye week.

This nonsense with the bad one-way officiating is getting out of hand, nearly every game these clowns are missing obvious calls. Doesn't take away from the terrible play calling - which is extraordinarily limited by a total and complete inability to pass block.

Ironically, designed runs were probably safer for Fields at that point. He was getting destroyed whenever he tried to drop back.

For most teams, sure but for the Bears and the lack of personal foul calls on his slides when he gets decked in the head, no

I'm sure the league will say are sorry, the missed the call, blah blah blah. Good ol moral victories when your Qb is getting killed

Love how the NFL schedules almost half of the Bears home games for the last 5 games of the season with the Bears likely 3-9 going into that stretch. Also December in Chicago.

Fields ran 18 times today and was sacked/knocked down an additional 10 times. He didn’t take a hit on all those runs bc he slid or ran out of bounds but had to expect this would happen eventually

The cheap shot to head certainly didn't help, how can Eberflus just not go off and get in the officials' face? The horsefeathering clowns somehow manage to call a low hit roughing the passer yet keep the flags in the pockets on some obvious late QB hits.

how big of a hit to fields development would it be if he missed the rest of the season?

It'd help save him long-term. Hopefully, this ends the designated run nonsense. Given when they called it (behind with an injured QB), I doubt they're that smart.

Fields could only hide their incompetence for so long.

I think a couple designed runs a game is fine but they seemed to be relying on it as much as possible today. That is not fine. He’s gonna get plenty of yards on scrambles too

They expected it. His yards came from scrambles. Doing it a handful of times especially red zone and goal is different than making him a featured back like today.

Plus, Atlanta is terrible against the pass and short passes worked the limited amount they went 3 step.

Sorry I don't sound reasonable but I still can't believe they called two designed runs with an injured franchise QB down by 3 under 2 minutes during a tank season (4 games under .500).

It's unforgivable, IMO.

This doesn’t sound good:

Good regarding the legs, not good at all regarding the shoulder.

I know it's his non throwing shoulder but still...

Sit him out please.
