It's actually remarkable how often the Bears get into the other team's side of the field and produce nothing.

Nagy certainly making a compelling case for keeping him

The timeouts just kill me. Totally on coaching.

“When you look at our schedule this year, we had the 2nd hardest in the league. 12 of our first 14 games were against teams that finished .500 or above. During this stretch we were stretched very thin with injuries and COVID. Mom and I feel like this makes it hard to use this season to properly evaluate the performance of Matt and Ryan. In particular, due to unfortunate injuries we felt it not fair to judge Matt’s performance developing Justin. What we do feel is that this team continued to play hard for Coach Nagy, as they have done repeatedly during difficult stretches in his 4 years here. And to see the team win those last 3 games despite having nothing to play for, it really hammered home why Matt is the right guy to lead this team. When we look at who we want leading the Chicago Bears, above all else it’s a leader of men. At 7-10, this is Matt’s first sub-.500 season in his 4 years here and 2 of the first 3 ended in the playoffs. It is due to all of this that we are happy to announce a 4 year extension for both Ryan and Matt that will keep them leading this organization into the future.”

Remember the scene in "War Games" where "Joshua" the supercomputer goes through the process of learning that tic-tac-toe (and, by extension, nuclear war) is a no-win proposition?

I'm reminded of that scene - but the opposite - when I watch Matt Nagy coach. He is actively getting dumber before our very eyes with each hour, minute, second that elapses.

It's remarkable really. He just learns absolutely nothing. He can fail over and over, but he still believes it will work next time.

The Bears inability to adjust when the opposition puts their #1 WR in the slot is amazing.

Whew. For a little while I thought there would be a small sliver of an opportunity for the McCaskeys to screw us over again.

Fantastic. One final hammer blow to send Nagy to the trash heap of Bears history. Looking forward to Monday.

This is the organization that offered Olin Kruetz 15.00 per hour to work with the offensive line.

non-Bears note.... I hate the focus on Justin Jefferson trying to break Randy Moss' yardage record for a season... I mean, even if they force feed him the ball and he gets it, he had an entire extra game! It's not the same record...

Going into next year with Jenkins and Borom as your starting tackles will be a disaster. They need a legit LT, Jenkins at RT and Borom as a swing tackle.

I’m not going to be up in arms about records breaking because of a 17th game. In a few years 17 games will feel like the norm and no one is still claiming the 14 game records are the real records.
