Lincoln Riley leaving OU for USC per many reports.

Unreal move. I guess he didn't want that SEC smoke. Also, not great news for my team, which plays USC every year and competes for recruits.

Napier to Florida. Riley, Tucker, Napier, Aranda, Jimbo all have jobs with OU now in competition for a new coach. LSU better get Kiffin or they’re left with Mark Stoops or Bill O’Brien.

So we've got:

IN: Georgia

FOR SURE IN WITH A WIN: Michigan and Alabama

IN FOR SURE WITH A WIN AND A BAMA LOSS: Ok St and Cincy

NEEDS TWO OF THE ABOVE BESIDES GEORGIA TO LOSE: Notre Dame

Rankings this week will give us a good idea on who has the upper hand between Oklahoma State and Cincy and ultimately it will probably come down to next week. If one team wins big and the other wins close, the team winning big probably gets in. If they both win by similar scores, it will probably go to whoever is ranked higher on Tuesday.

I have a feeling this could be similar to the 2014 rankings where TCU dropped from 3rd to 6th despite winning their last game soundly. The committee was reluctant to put Cincinnati anywhere near the top initially until teams started losing. During that time Cincinnati hasn’t played any legit good teams and has looked shaky in a few of them. I bet they are itching to move them out if they have an excuse too. A 1 loss Oklahoma State team coming off back to back wins over top 10-15 teams would give it a strong reason to leapfrog Ok St over Cincinnati even if both teams win and even if Cincinnati beats a fringe top 25 team in Houston.

I guess we’ll see

Cincinnati does not belong no matter what they do, neither does ND.

I'm kind of hoping for all the favorites with CFP possibilities to lose this weekend but when I realize that would guarantee ND a spot so I realize no one wants to see that.

Really do not believe the Big Ten West has its best possible representative in Iowa, Michigan should win handily.

Iowa was clearly the best B1G West team over the course of the season, certainly a better option than 8-4 Wisconsin (though they had possibly the roughest schedule of any B1G team this year), and Minnesota and Purdue certainly weren't better options.

Illinois lost 4th quarter leads at home to Rutgers and Maryland, or they would have been in the discussion, which seems silly (they did win at Minnesota and PSU).

The main difference is TCU beat a 2-10 Iowa State team that week whereas Cincinnati will play a good team. But you’re probably right that if Bama, Michigan and OkSt all win, Cincy is out.

Hearing that Brent Venables is a good possibility at OU.

I still don't know about LSU. Bill O'Brien is a name that keeps popping up with that job.

And then we watch Baton Rouge burn.

Hearing Cristobal too.

Apparently the OU Barstool Twitter page posted a picture of Venables' kid (who plays for Clemson) and DJ Uiagalelei doing the Horns Down and then deleted it, for whatever that's worth.

I think there was also a tweet saying that is the most pressures in a game since PFF started tracking them. Only in the biggest game of his career with everything on the line. That's the kind of horsefeathers that makes you a top 3 pick in the draft, and sure enough I saw a mock earlier that had him going number 1.
