Bears moving the ball comfortably to a significantly meaningful degree. Hope it continues and I hope people move off the ledge with Fields already.

well, that was cool

The missed PAT less so.

Anyways, the last time we had a Bears QB who could take dead in the water and turn it into something was maybe Cutler. Nice to have just a natural talent.

Honestly, Trubisky pulled a few of those jailbreak runs out as well.

Fields has been off on a few throws. For a rook, I guess it’s good but I haven’t seen anything too much different than Trubisky.

He's 16 for 20. This is as bad a take as I've seen, and I've read some bad takes over the years.

Trubisky had some long runs, but if he ever had one like that I honestly don't remember. He mostly made teams pay in 2018 who didn't respect him as a runner and that was kind of it.

Trubisky had plenty of games with high completion percentages.

Trubisky had some absolutely crazy escapes too, especially early before he had that shoulder injury that made him gunshy:

I'm absolutely not saying Fields is Trubisky, but we're not going to do that thing where we pretend the old guy had All The Flaws and the new guy is Completely Different

You guys (the ones minimizing the best Fields game of the year) are the ones who even mentioned Trubisky. Nobody is acting like Fields doesn't have flaws. You are arguing against nobody. We also aren't going to do the thing where we act like Fields playing a good game is bad. He played very well today. Maybe the best game of any rookie in this class has played this year (read this on Twitter, haven't seen Daniel Jones much). It doesn't mean there's no looking back and he will continue to linearly get better each game......which is absolutely fine because literally NOBODY is saying that.

I couldnt watch today but Mac Jones has looked really good in a couple of games I’ve watched. I have a hard time believing that Fields has a better game based on the stat line but again I didn’t watch so
