I know there's more to playing defense but bad defender Vucevic has 10 STL+BLK in the last 2 games.

Ball is putting up big defensive stats too

vuc has been getting abused defensively. teams are targeting him big time, and he just kind of stands there.

Still have to finish the 2nd half of game 3 but I am loving what I've seen so far. Great defense, nice ball movement, fast paced, and completely unselfish play. Obviously I'm a big Caruso homer being the resident Aggie but Lonzo Ball has really blown me away so far. I knew he was good but not this good. Now that he has worked to get his 3-point shot up near 40% he really doesn't have any glaring weaknesses. He does it all and a 6'6" PG is a nice luxury to have. He almost reminds me a bit of Pip out there. Zach isn't forcing anything, which is great. He finds his spot and explodes for a flurry of points. It would be nice to have some size off the bench and maybe a sharpshooter to add a little firepower but this team is well put together.

Oh, I only heard him say it in the pre-game for opening night in Detroit but Stacey King calling this team Chi Slamma Jamma was awesome.

He's used it a few times during the games, too.

Guess I need to pay better attention. Lol.

Bulls have looked out of sync on offense and have had several defensive lapses. Zach Lavine didn’t hit a field goal until the last possession of the half, Pat Williams is afraid to shoot, Vuc has missed some point blank shots. All this to say that the Bulls are up double digits on the road at halftime

I’ve been on the fence with DD. But games like today are exactly why you need him. Tons of free throws and can get you an iso bucket when you need it.

Vuc was bad, but had the best +/- on the team. Further demonstrating how bad +/- is.

They need to get better at inbounding the ball in late game situations.

Lonzo is very good. Particularly on the defensive end.

PW was invisible once again.

I know he’s young and coming off an injury but I’m sounding the alarm on Pwill. He seems to have such a passive demeanor. He says all the right things but it just feels like something is missing. I hope im wrong.

This quick turn around and hot start just puts a fine point on how awful the GarPax era was (and how many years they wasted being a mediocre mess)

This is the first 4-game winning streak Zach Lavine has ever had in the NBA.

If you include the Olympics and preseason he's on a personal 13 game winning streak. Dude just doesn't know how to lose.

It's not even like they did a ton with the young talent GarPax left them either.

-Lauri was let go in a S+T trade but they got back a late 1st and a player who hasn't done anything for the team this year, so that move isn't responsible for any team success

-WCJ and OPJ were obviously a big pieces of the Vuc trade, but I don't necessarily think the trade was made because Orlando had to have those guys. Porter is already on another team. WCJ did sign an extension but he's not exactly balling out for Orlando. If the Bulls had taken another player with that draft pick I don't think it ruins the chances of completing a Vuc trade

-Give a bit of credit to GarPax for having a least a couple of ok contracts that were desirable enough to include in trades if only for salary matching purposes. Thad Young was a piece in the DeRozan trade. Sato was a piece in the Lonzo trade. Kornet, Gafford and Hutchison went out in the Javonte Green/Troy Brown trade. It's not nothing...having those types of contracts helps with flexibility in trades, but I don't see any of them singularly being needed to complete those trades.

Denzel, Arcidiacono, Felicio were let go in FA. Valentine has played 4 minutes for the Cavs so far, Arch was waived by the Celtics during the preseason, Felicio is back in Brazil I'm pretty sure. While GarPax didn't draft Patrick Williams, their crappy season put the new FO in a position to take him.

AKME took a bunch of crap and a few first round picks and turned it into a team that's 4-0 and on an upward trajectory.

Credit GarPax for also not parting with picks. AKME had a full slate to work with.
