good grief, why not tag the bag Rizzo?

To ensure the run didn’t count on the dp. you gotta scream that out when you’re inches from the base though

Wait, what did I miss? How does not tagging first keep a run from scoring?

If you get both outs of the DP on forces, the run doesn't score no matter what. If you get a force at 1B and a tag at 2B, then it depends on when the runner crosses home plate.

If Javy realized the force was still on, he could finish the 3-6-3 and end the inning. If the force is gone then the runner at 3rd just has to cross before the tag at 2nd

In hindsight Rizzo made the right play but no communication

Got it, thanks. I have the game on mute while attempting to multitask on edibles. Lol.

Feel like I’d Javy doesn’t hear someone yelling “tag” there the default should be to know to throw back to 1B to try and turn that. But regardless terrible communication/knowing what’s going on. Not tagging 1B was the right move, Javy needs to know to throw back to 1B somehow.

I know the joke about that being the one time Heyward doesn't ground out to 2B is too easy there but come the horsefeathers on with that AB.

wait I'm behind. Go Duffy!
