I don't understand why every team doesn't just bunt with the first guy and then hope to (at least) hit a sac fly or grounder to the right to get the run in

You think the road team should do that?

im mildly surprised when the home team doesnt do it when its still tied but im sure they gamed it out and have determined theyd rather take 3 chances of hitting a single instead of 1 chance to get a sac fly and 1 chance at a single

Let’s speed up the game. Let’s review a call where the runner is clearly out and waste 10 minutes.

While giving zero explanation whatsoever about what they are looking at or how they came to their decision. With the added bonus that if that call was reversed, probably would have either let mills warm back up or bring in a new pitcher (because those were three terrible pitches)

I know, right? the cubs, for instance, ALWAYS get a guy in from 3rd with less than 2 outs.

Right, I'm sure the stats say that there is a 2.7% better chance of doing that

So you're saying they should try to get them in from 2nd instead? Seems likely

The look on his face as he got to first was priceless.

OK, Willson let's suck a little less here

Dammit. I thought the game was over watching Joc after that swing.

His reaction, Boogs call. Didn’t even make it to the wall lol

"That's what he sounded like when Seager popped out to short too" - love Sutcliff picking the Booger all game. Edited by chopsx9
