Big game today and not just for the White Sox.

While I'm sure a lot of you have been paying attention to the playoff standings, you might not have been paying attention to the Game Thread Starter standings. Here's where we're at going into the final day:

Derwood (7-2)

Brian707 (7-2)

soccer10k (6-2)

So if the Cubs win, I could (should?) get the start in Game 1 with the tiebreaker being continuing who won the previous game if that person is tied for best record. Also on my resume is being the person who started threads for Games 4, 5 and 6 of the 2016 NLCS. However, if the Cubs lose, I fall to third and might not get a start if Ross and our offense have anything to say about it. Expectations are low since the Sox have everything to play for while the Cubs have nothing on the line (sorry, the Crosstown Cup doesn't count). I would like a playoff start so win, Cubs.

GO CUBS!!!!

horsefeathers, not the Pirates again!!

LOL. Had the time wrong also. Definitely not a good look when petitioning for a potential playoff thread start.

I would assume you would get playoff game 1 start if the Cubs win today since we all would sit at 7-2. Derwood I think has tiebreaker over me as he signed up first.

Who starts which game thread is definitely the most important thing about the playoffs

What a weird, weird take.

Is it weird that I'm cheering for the Cubs to lose today in order to clinch the #1 starter spot?

Considering we are losing 3 of our starters this offseason, we’re counting on Alzolay to be given every chance to take a rotation spot next year right?

Damn. Alzolay is sharp.

It would be really nice for him to grab a rotation spot for next year. I think I might be fairly comfortable leaving one spot for him or Mills to take. Adbert if he's looking this good. Mills as a sixth starter / backup plan.

Yeah, I think at this point you can comfortably consider one spot filled. I wonder how Cory Abbott has looked at the alternate site. He could be in that mix as well.
