As I was a toddler I wasn't following/don't remember watching the Bulls/Pistons late 80's early 90's run. I can't imagine how incredible that '91 ECF must have been to experience.

So, sportsbetting is coming to Colorado May 1st, and to get people prepped for it, Draftkings offered a few dumb prop tournaments for free. One of them was just guessing over unders on how hot it would get on a particular day in different cities around the state. Hillariously lame. Slightly less lame was a bunch of prop bets for the latest episode of Last Dance. Will Pippen or Rodman show up on screen first? Stuff like that. There was a 5k prize pool and only 46 people entered! I got 8/11 right and tied for 3rd to get 214 bucks. If I had known so few people were playing, I wouldn't have gone so contrarian in some of my picks. One more right pick woulda been 800 more dollars.

Enjoyed this Kukoc article:

https://www.espn.com/nba/story/_/id/29072197/toni-kukoc-talks-michael-jordan-scottie-pippen-last-dance-chicago-bulls

I always wondered how Toni's relationship with MJ and Pippen was after all the stuff that went on with the Olympics and the animosity with Krause bringing him it. It appears as though had the perfect personality to deal with all of that and even thrive from it. He rationalized the abuse, realized it wasn't actually about him, and any criticism of his play was an attempt to make him better. Hope he gets into the HOF some day soon.

aww

"Whose fault is it we broke up?" Kukoc asked. "That's trivial. We made everyone happy. That's the part I like to remember. And every once in a while, when it's rainy and cold, I can get on YouTube, and watch, and reminisce about the old days."

I remember savoring the sweep of Miami in 07 the year after they beat the Bulls in the playoffs. 91 vs Detroit must have been that times, I don't know, 200?

It was funny how Pat Riley's Knicks tried to rough up Jordan the same way the Pistons had, and MJ wound up owning them too. Sending Ewing, Starks, Mason and Oakley home year after year brought me as much joy as the the Piston series.

Apparently, the Knicks are coming for Sunday's episodes.

The behind-the-scenes stories about Rodman's interview is wild. He showed up hours late (shocking), demanded a Subway tuna sandwich and a specific type of tea before he would answer questions, and he only promised one hour of his time. He ended up giving ~3 hours of interviews, but the documentarian had 10+ hours worth of questions to ask (and the hours he did get was like trying to keep an ADHD five year old focused in a room full of flashing lights and candy)

I was 9 when the Bulls finally beat the Pistons. I agreed with MJ. It was better than winning the title.

Ehlo and Price don’t recall Harper’s version of The Shot the same way. They both lol at his saying he wanted to guard Jordan.

Definitely seems to be a lot of revisionist history going on in this doc

im less concerned with how much control jordan had over the doc (because duh) and more surprised at how closely it follows "Playing For Keeps." It's essentially shot-for-shot!

The closest thing i would compare it to was the Cubs beating the Cardinals in 2015, but multiply that by like 20. I remember one Piston fan in my 8th grade English class talking so much trash to everyone at the beginning of the series. I think game 4 was a Sunday and he was out "sick" from school for a couple of days after.

1992 second round, that series went 7. Besides the 98 Pacers series, that was the closest the championship era Bulls came to being knocked out. I was worried
