I honestly wouldn't totally disagree, especially given how great we had it with the Bulls and how awesome 2016 was for many reasons, but I don't remember horsefeathers about 1985 so I couldn't care any less about that. In fact, those guys just annoy the hell out of me.

Yeah we have it much better than several other cities. It just sucks when all the city's sports teams either suck or are disappointing at the same time.

I'm in a weird place with this Bulls team.

 

The rebuild has actually been decent and I can't complain (I will though). I like Coby White and that's who I wanted them to target after Morant in the draft. We have a good roster now, but I don't think GarPax and Boylen can finish this rebuild in a satisfactory way. Just making the playoffs isn't good enough...

 

By that I mean they can't recruit or get any big FAs to sign here, and that's what it will take to make them true title contenders again. Brooklyn and the LA Clippers both went about rebuilding in a similar way and then added the big pieces to elevate into that top tier. I just don't see Chicago getting there in the next few years.

yep. not only was it bad enough that he was brought in as the replacement for Hoiberg initially, but they doubled and tripled down on him by giving him the entire remaining part of the season last year AND giving him an extension.

 

this franchise sucks.

For a normal franchise I could totally see another week or two of this resulting in ownership cleaning house, but I don't think I'll ever see an end to GarPax coming. I'm sure it will happen someday, but I won't see it coming.

I honestly can't tell how terrible a start the Bulls would have to endure for Boylen to get fired.

 

They can't fire him so soon because it would again reflect poorly on GarPax and their decision-making skills. The defense looks terrible right now and this is the easy part of the schedule. The Bulls might be in the lottery again so that means the #7 pick once more...

i think Gar will eventually be a fall guy, but nothing will truly change until Pax is gone too. and unfortunately, i don't see that coming for a long time, unless Pax decides he's finally had enough.

Since I moved out of viewing area I’ve not been able to watch much of the bulls during the rebuild. They look like they have potential to be fun but kinda just fly around with no real plan. Plus watching a different skinny undersized guy try to guard lebron each time down the court is interesting
