Good video and breakdown of Onyeka Okongwu:

I've had some time to think about what the Bulls should do now that they have the #4 pick in the draft. It's obviously not the best draft to have such a high draft pick, but it is what it is...

I like Onyeka Okongwu after watching some more clips and reading more about him. They compare him to Bam Adebayo in this video and they actually faced each other in HS. Pretty similar measurements (7'2" wingspan for Okongwu vs. 7'3" for Adebayo). Pretty similar games too. Okongwu is the better shot blocker based on stats in college. He's definitely the best defensive big in this draft class. Someone that would complement Lauri Markkanen pretty well. You could also play him alongside Wendell Carter w/ Carter sliding to the 4, but Carter would really need to improve his outside shot to make that work...

Okongwu is not a shooter and I don't know if he'll ever develop into an elite offensive player. He's a great rim runner and should be able to finish alley-oops pretty well. Get offensive rebounds and make some easy putbacks. I think his ceiling is around 10-15 ppg? He's not a playmaker and won't get many assists. His value is really tied to his contributions on the defensive end.

I would rather take someone with a higher ceiling at #4, but if the top 3 (LaMelo, A. Edwards and J. Wiseman) are all taken then the options become limited. I don't want the Bulls to take Deni Avdija and I would absolutely hate that selection. I think my best hope is some team in the 7-10 range really likes Tyrese Haliburton or Obi Toppin and wants to move up, allowing the Bulls to slide down and draft Okongwu or Saddiq Bey plus some additional assets/draft picks.

Billy Donovan anyone? He and OKC agreed to part ways. I think he's an interesting coach and rumors are the Bulls may be interested.

Yeah Woj just reported that we are interested. Sixers are too. I’d be excited

I was excited about the possibility of Wes Unseld Jr. but it's hard to argue with this choice. He's been nothing but rock-solid in OKC.

The upgrade from Paxson/Forman/Boylen to Karnisovas/Eversley/Donovan has me more excited about the Bulls than I've been since Rose injured his knee.

He has the same level of excitement in his reaction as I do when I find out my fantasy football waiver claim went through lol

Man, i'm kinda excited about this team. I think you have to keep LaVine and Lauri now (Bulls better version of SGA and Galinari). I'd go all out for a difference making PG though. If there's any way to get LaMelo, please get him.

Agree with all that. I’d love to see these guys with an actual NBA head coach. I’m guessing they give it at least a year before making any big changes to the roster.

Yes, please on LaMelo.

Not bad. Not a big fan of these alt jerseys that completely change the team's color scheme but this one looks nice. I know I'm just an old person complaining about current trends. I don't hate it for select games during the regular season, but hated it during the playoffs when you had the Jazz playing the Thunder with the Jazz wearing bright orange jerseys and the Thunder wearing black and gold. For playoffs, I love traditional home and road jerseys.
