Both teams have bad offenses, Saints due to injury situation and both are facing great defenses. So we can really see the difference between the coaches calling the plays.

This is...not flattering for Nagy

The fun part is that they have no real ability to change directions for at least a couple of years. It’s just gonna be progressively worse, less hopeful versions of this.

At this point I don’t want Pace drafting in the first two rounds.

Is it just me or has Mack been a nearly complete no show the last 2 games?

He and the rest of the defense that is on the field for 75% of the game.

Now that NFL teams actually do trades, I honestly wonder if we see a fire sale. Like you could move Robinson, Burton. and a couple defensive backs prior to the deadline in a few weeks, and Mack over the offseason. Just start over clean. This year depended on Trubisky taking at least a modest step forward, instead it's been a substantial step backward.

Oakland is going to get a better pick than expected.

Funny because it might end up that they took the best option if the Bears continue plummeting and the Packers and 49ers keep dominating.

Well the 49ers had what the 2nd pick of the draft last year? Gonna be hard for the Bears to beat that this year even if they are looking like a 5-11 team. But that fact that it’s even close is crazy after how the teams finished last year

What Kyle said is right. I started thinking about possible trades for guys like Rivers and then I realized: Bears don’t have draft capital to trade for him, the Bears need what little capital we have to fix holes that have exposed themselves, Bears might not be able to fit his salary on the roster, and there are so many holes that I’m not sure Rivers would fare much better than Mitch but also even if he did fare better it wouldn’t be enough to save this team.

As we said when he was drafted and when we traded for Mack, we mortgaged the future of the team on Mitch panning out. And he didn’t so we are stuck in an impossible situation for salvaging this defensive core. Once again we can’t pick or develop a quarterback.

If it doesn’t get better I say horsefeathers it and try to trade back into the draft and start the QB shuffle again. I know trades are not terribly common especially for high 1sts but whatever, dangle Eddie Jackson or whoever else will have value. The Bears are pointless without an at worst average QB.

I know they are beating our asses, but the mouthing done by the Saints make me happy they got fucked in the NFC Championship last year.

Let me start off by saying Trubisky is terrible and shouldn't be starting...

But is 54 pass attempts vs SEVEN rushes a recipe for success for ANY QB in ANY game, let alone a young one coming back from an injury?

This season's struggles are more on the coaching staff than they are on the QB, and given how bad the QB is... That's saying something

1) you have to pass when you are losing

2) you should pass even when you aren’t losing because passing is awesome and running is irrelevant in the current NFL
