Might as well just have one big thread.

Yes I would prefer the Brewers lose tonight but part of me would find it hilarious if the Nationals again fail to advance in the playoffs even in a 1 game format at home with one of the top pitchers in baseball going against whoever the Brewers are throwing at them.

Boooooooooooooooo.

I wanna see the Nats, A's or Rays do some cool stuff. Everyone else can go fart in a tent.

I'm cool with anything but STL in the NL and Houston in the AL. Ideally we'd get Atlanta vs Oakland but if we can avoid STL in the Series, especially, I won't be picky beyond that.

I'd rather the Nats not make the World Series so I don't have to hear a bunch of trash about Harper being a cancer and spending money on FAs is stupid.

I'd also rather the Braves not make the World Series because of their taxpayer-funded stadium, the Brewers and Cardinals(moreso) for obvious reasons. So go Dodgers in the NL? And go AL regardless.

Rays

Astros

Yankees

I don’t think it would be “spending on players is stupid” especially because they signed Corbin in that offseason and just offered Rendon 200+ million. For me it would be more “look what you can get away with when you are consistently developing 4-5 win players during your competitive window”. At least that’s how I think of it as a Cubs fan.

I think he’s still on a bit of a pitch and innings limit from the lat injury. I’d assume he’s good for 2-4 innings then they’ll go Suter/Albers/Pomeranz after to cover 3-4 innings then Hader.

athletics because it'd be cool for billy beane to win it all or the braves since they have nick markakis on their team and i'm a sucker for veterans finally getting a ring.

The Nats fans are a bunch of beltway posers. Loved that shot of the crybaby as Grandal circles the bases.

horsefeathers the Brewers. horsefeathers the Cardinals. horsefeathers the Astros. Anyone else can win although I’d prefer not the Yankees or Dodgers.

imo the nationals should have started their pitcher who has been doing really good the last month instead of their pitcher who has been doing really bad
