I'm already bracing for the worst Saturday night. Not super confident at all in a Brian Kelly-coached team against an elite opponent.

Georgia is very, very good. Both them and LSU look every bit as impressive as Bama.

I hate this early bye week for PSU. They have to run the Big Ten gauntlet with no breaks

Everyone gets two byes because of the way the calendar falls. Penn State gets another one Nov. 2.

Good catch, didn't see that. That explains some of the super early byes

Michigan Sucks!!

Is it just me, but I dont get the Shea Patterson thing? I think this is the biggest statement against Harbaugh, the QB play there has not been good in his tenure

Can I change my answer on the Harbaugh question from a couple weeks ago?

Side rant: between the Cubs disappointment, Bulls and Hawks sucking, Bears without a QB, this UM disaster and Beilein leaving, I might need to take a break from sports fandom for awhile!

I can relate. I’m cautiously optimistic about the Pelicans this season, so that’s bound to be a huge disappointment.

SEC observations:

LSU and Georgia are great and might actually be better than Bama this year.

The bottom of the SEC is godawful. Arkansas, Ole Miss and Tennessee are Sun Belt Conference bad.

Starting to wonder if Jimbo is the right fit at aTm.

Hate it for the kid, but Franks going down for Florida might be a blessing in disguise.

As enjoyable as it is when Michigan loses, the last time they got their ass beat the same day ND was playing a Southern power, it didn't end really well. (Last Dec. 29.)

It also removes the margin for error with a loss tonight. Georgia might wind up being the only team on the schedule ranked at the end of the year.

I don't think Michigan makes the difference there even if they're good. No one's letting a weak schedule 11-1 ND in the playoff (given any decent alternative) after what happened last year.

I was at the Badgers today. Honestly didn’t expect quite that much dominance. Gives me something to be happy about in an otherwise bleak sports landscape.

Yeah imagine if you were a Chicago fan and rooted for those other guys too

Well, they didn't get killed, so that was nice. Schedule isn't good enough to make the playoff, but if ND can go 11-1, they'll get either the Orange against a crap ACC team or the Cotton against a Group of 5 team. Winning a major bowl for the first time since I was 7 would still make this a good year.

PAC 12 after dark.

UCLA was down 49-17 with 7 minutes left in the third quarter. They’re now up 60-56.

UCLA wins 67-63. Washington State's QB throws 9 touchdown passes, needed 10 to win the game. lol

A&M is trash. I wasn’t expecting a 10-win season with this schedule but I expected them to look like a legitimate football team.

They're the best 6 win team in history.

They’ll be able to take out their frustrations against Arkansas next week, the worst team in the league since Bobby Petrino wrecked his motorcycle. The Hogs are awful in every facet of the game.

sets the QB up to fail when you feature stale antiquated play designs that create no space or confusion for the defense
