The Cobs return home where hopefully they can go on a run and become the Cubs again. Kyle Schwarber gave Zach Davies a swirly and took his lunch money just 5 days ago, so it would logically follow that this team won't get more than 3 hits off him in this game.

This team needs an infusion of power. Dare I say, a lot of power. Dare I say... 1.21 jigowatts of power.

By far my favorite movie franchise growing up.

Schwarber as flawed as he was had a 108 wRC+ leading off while overall the team is 76 so they might as well go back to that today and should take a risk and throw Happ in at 2B since Q isn't a GB guy and it allows a extra LH bat with pop in vs Davies.

The Cubs thought they had sent Chiliball back, but...

I don't really mind it as a first time thing, assuming it's a one off.

Our big stars on this road trip:

Baez: .194/.237/.361, 1 HR, 2 RBI

Bryant: .216/.237/.324, 1 HR, 4 RBI

Rizzo: .156/.250/.344, 1 HR, 3 RBI

Contreras: .200/.231/.241, 0 HR, 1 RBI

Schwarber: .138/.219/.448, 3 HR, 8 RBI

The only hitter kind of doing anything is Heyward (.306/.324/.361), but that's with a .423 BABIP

tl;dr ENTIRE team is slumping

I'm not going to bother checking what the hell the Cubs did in the last 2-3 innings last night, so I'm assuming that they are now at 3 games and counting without a dong as an entire horsefeathering team.

I mean, it's a 6 game sample size. In those 6 games we have a .206 BABIP, which is the lowest by 28 points. But we're also striking out at the second highest rate in baseball, and generally being ass at most things involving baseball.

That's why they play 162 of them.
