So, the strategy of not paying attention and just coming on the board at 10 p.m. did not work. I see that, outside those first two games against them this season, the Cubs just can't score runs off the Brewers. It feels brutal.

 

I like when the Brewers play other teams because I am more confident in that team beating them than us.

Strop was bad again, and Maddon was dumb in his bullpen usage again, but you aren't gonna win many scoring 2 runs. Whatever. There are plenty of holes in this team. Get a couple cheap outside pieces without giving up anything remotely interesting long term and hope to get hot. That's all I got.

I don’t see a scenario where the Cards fall apart. You knew Goldschmidt and Carpenter weren’t going to underachieve all year and it looks like they’re taking off. And you know they won’t be afraid to get better at the deadline. We basically have to take 2 of 3 there this coming week or we’re hoping for a WC at best.

There's no excuse for Maddon to keep putting him in those spots. He was the only person watching that game who thought it was a good idea. There's no reason to take Hendricks out after 90 pitches when he's allowed 2 hits.

 

You don't win many games scoring 2 runs, but this was a game they should have won even scoring 2 runs. 100% on Maddon. A manager should not be costing a team this many games.

I would totally be down for a franchise changing blockbuster trade. There’s a few others I’d be upset about trading but the only guys that absolutely have to stay are KB, Rizzo and Javy.

 

Maybe it doesn’t make the most sense but I’m just ready for something new. There is something rotten with the Cubs right now and a few minor pieces here and there isn’t going to fix it imo

again, look at theos comments on the offense after the end of last season, and them consider the fact that we are still doing the exact same horsefeathers because he has still changed nothing. 9 strikeouts for gio is a disgrace.
