I expect Joe to stop horsefeathering around with the lineup and put the entire A-team in today. Hopefully the players actually play to the importance of this game tonight.

Well the good news is that if we cant win today at least we have Strasburg and Scherzer this weekend since we only beat elite pitching now.

Anytime you have to say “we are good, we just need to win today,” you aren’t really good.

 

That doesn't seem true in the slightest. 1) We don't "need" to win but 2) even if we did it doesn't mean we aren't good.

However, if the Cubs win today they'll be guaranteed to still be in first place when these teams meet again and that would be pretty sweet.
