That's just the weird, pretty awesome persona Votto has embraced in the last few years. I think being trapped on the Reds has driven him slowly insane.

That was at the end of that horrible stretch where the Cubs went 1-6 then swept three from the reds then went 1-9. they still had a 6.5 game lead.
