pretty weird

My dude, you've been crying all year about a team that is on pace to win 95 games and has won the division the last two years, appeared in the last three NLCS, and won you the damn World Series. You whine nonstop, and you've barely posted while they've been doing well.

It's the people enjoying the Cubs' best run in franchise history that are weird, though.

you hate cubs related negativity so much that you use cubs wins to create negativity on a cubs message board

and accusing me of disappearing during the good times is pretty wrong

Wait, you think he's not enjoying the Cubs when they do well? And HE'S the weirdo?

Some people prefer to use the game threads to vent when the Cubs are sucking. Y'know, the flipside of how you all but vanish when they have a crappy game.

I've been more active when they are bad. I've barely been in the game threads the last week. If I vanished when they were bad, then how would I have been arguing with ninnies so often?

I'm not wrong. You have disappeared when they do well. You want to be miserable.

Because you typically show up after the game or at the end to start lecturing people for being annoyed with a horsefeathers game.

And then, weirdly, you start acting like those people are supposed to be bummed out or embarassed when the Cubs win. People are going to complain when things go poorly, even if that is just for a few innings; you don't have to act like it's going to cripple Bryant because he can't hear enough people clapping for him to come back to life.

i actually think i'm nauseatingly romantic about it when they do well. your perception is wrong, and i think you're kind of looking for things at this point.

look man, i understand how over the top negativity can be aggravating, especially when the team is on such a great run. so we blow off some steam by arguing about it in the game threads, and we move on to the next day. it seems like you are the only one carrying it on and making it into something else. you don't see the irony of you turning the good days into negativity over your resentment of negativity?

How did I turn anything negative? I posted the Cubs record this year. If you took that negatively, it's on you.

Hahahaha! Your gas bill must be unusually high in the summer.

Literally no one here "hates this Cubs team". Come on

An awful lot of whining for people that don't hate them. The guy's posts are like 98% negative.

Venting frustration about Bryant's lack of homers or Chatwood sucking all the ass or Rizzo running hot and cold =/= hating the team

I don't bitch about that stuff.

It's 17 seconds' continual doom-and-gloom posts that are dumb and deserve called out.

At this rate your attempts to call him out are just as dumb and deserve to be called out.

People vent during game threads. You making it your personal vendetta to call people out is cringe-worthy.

First of all, he called me out. Secondly, nah. He should quit posting dumb horsefeathers if he doesn't want called out.

cubswin11 did it in this thread, but i've seen you do it on other threads recently. i just didn't feel like responding to them, because i was happy about the cubs doing well.

I can fully understand why he calls you out give how you behave here.

Wait, calling out Duke on his behavior here?

Other than a slight obsession with 17 Seconds' negativity, he's damn near a model citizen.

Says the guy grousing about Rizzo in this very game thread.

It's not like people are griping about a perfect baseball team; shockingly, even good teams can have players or situations that people inexplicably wish were better! But sure, keep acting like it's just you vs. a tide of r_macks.

My comments about Rizzo today were clearing in a semi joking nature. Saying things like "yeah Rizzo has sucked lately" or "I hope his ground ball to the right side finds a hole" is far different than the horsefeathers worrying about Rizzo aging, thinking Rizzo is doomed to ever be good again or the season is over because Rizzo hasn't done much lately or saying things like "major collapse potential."

I get the game thread venting and should let it not bother me as much but some of the over the top doom and glooming gets to me and I just try and point out that it usually isn't that bad or there's things to find comfort in. We all use the GTs for our own reasons, I just find some of the doom talk over the top at times.

I believe you called me out first with the "unflattering bit" comment

This has been one of the dumber arguments I've seen on this website (non-Da Bum division).
