I broke 40 for the first time in 20 years, though I hadn't played golf at all for about 18 of those years. I shot an 81 the other day. Next time out, I shot an 87 and was pissed. Then I thought back to the days when I would have given anything to shoot an 87. Perspective is the key.

Wait till you break 80.

I have but that was a long time ago.

Just spent 2.5 weeks in Hawaii. Came home about 2 days before all the earthquakes and volcanic activity!

First night we were in Kauai a couple weeks ago was when they got 25-30 inches of rain in one day in the northern part of the island. Fortunately we were staying near the airport and weren't really planning on going to the northern part much.

I was in Kauai at the same time too! We were in Wailua and I got photos of the flooding in Hanalei. We went to the Queen's Bath the day after and got pounded with more rain. I had to throw away my socks and shoes due to the mud. Climbing back up was like going uphill in a river.

i just did a week of beach, sun, and booze in mexico. i'm exhausted. not sure how i'd ever survive 2.5 weeks anywhere.

I mean you don't have to get drunk EVERY day...

I get drunk like once a year. I'm 36, so I'm old now... But I don't miss getting excited about getting drunk.

I'm 35. Meh.

I just don’t really like being drunk. I like GETTING drunk (the buzz), but being drunk is t much fun for me.

Plus I generally vacation with my kids (and often with you get nieces and nephews) so getting ripped on the daily is t much of an option

eh, i get it if he's with kids. but otherwise, a vacation day without a drink is a wasted vacation day if you ask me.

I vacation with my kids all the time and have not done a vacation day without a drink with them.

Vacation days WITH children is a reason to drink more. Trust me.

I didn’t say that I don’t drink, I say that I don’t get drunk.

That's potentially fair, but if you're doing the all inclusive Mexico trip like I'm imaging David did, that's definitely like 60% the point, otherwise you could do much cooler things.

Outside of bleacher seats at Wrigley, Hanalei is my favorite place to be. Still hoping to get back there this winter. The north shore is a very relaxing place with incredible fish tacos.
