Team BB rate is about 2% lower than 2017 and 16, so yeah that’s a little low. We were at about 4 BB a game last two years and just a tick over 3 this year.

Part of, but not all of, the reason is probably KB/Rizzo both missing 5+ games each since they are 2 of the biggest drivers in the team BB numbers.

He pretty much doesn’t have a breaking ball/off speed pitch to get guys off the FB and I think his FB also has little movement or deception. 100+ is impressive but if guys know it’s coming and don’t have to worry about a breaking pitch he’s not going to K a lot of guys.

it's 102 with a ton of sink, but batters can sit on it because he has no control of his slider
