im primed for a "ill help you pack" joke on jake's behalf after he horsefeathers the bed tonight

I'm already kinda perplexed at the weirdos sobbing over this bearded miscreant getting his ass gone.

We got the best of him...now I'm happy to send him on his way.

Mostly nostalgia, he gave us the best season ever by a Cubs pitcher. And knowing we need to find two SP as good or better as he was this year, roughly, makes me a little uneasy.

Eh; I still love Popeye Calves more for that.

Thanks for the memories Jake. You were huge for the Cubs. Wish you the best.

But on another team. No longer an elite pitcher, and not worth the money he's going to want. Don't even think about it Theo.

Hope he gets another couple starts for the Cubs, although probably not going to happen.

I'll always love him for the 2015 Wild Card game. Yeah, he pitched games last year that meant more, but that was the game that started this whole run. For him to go into that game with the confidence he had and totally back it up made it a pretty incredible night (obviously Schwarber helped too).

Yeah he turned into a bit of a weirdo and forgot how to throw strikes, but whatever. Most of these dudes are weird.

Yeah, all I care about going forward is the beard-sized hole he'll leave in the rotation. I like the Lester, Q, Hendrix trio a lot but we're gonna have a lot of pitching holes to fill this offseason.

I've moved on from this season so fast already that when I just saw the mlb app notification of our lineup for tonight I thought — "there's a game tonight?"

Well I've actually lost money on the last two playoff games selling my tickets so I'm hoping for a loss tonight so I can just get a refund for Game 5.

How the hell?

Tickets for Game 3 of the NLCS are going for under face value

There were people trying to SELL tickets outside the park 30 minutes before game time last night. It was totally weird.

Oh and I was in the bleachers 12 rows up and there were two full empty rows in front of me until the fourth.

Oh god Julianna Zobrist is singing the national anthem just close this thread up. Everyone off to their various off season homes (Bears, Hawks, Politics, AFL, etc.)

The Score was urging people to show up earlier tonight because apparently the entrances got congested, was there added security or something?

They had the K9 unit out but it wasn't really slowing anything down. Lines were longer and traffic was terrible, though

Happ remains dead, though obviously his play in CF last night didn't help.

Isn't he also like 0-5 in the playoffs with 4Ks?

Have you seen how the rest of the team is hitting?
