It's has been a special but trying season. Our first season we've got to experience as defending champs, unless you are way way old. The first inning runs, early division deficit, unclutch KB, etc.

Through it all we got to see this team fight back win the division while knocking out out rivals when they thought they had hope. We got in the playoffs knocked out a great Nats team in one of the most gut wrenching series deciding games we've seen in a long time (11 month-ish)

If this is it..I want to share how happy this team made me last year. Then to follow it up by actually making the playoffs unlike recent WS Champs, even better winning the division. This could also be it for Jake as a Cub...man it was one hell of a ride..2015 season, WC game shutout, 2 wins in the WS. Not too bad for Feldman and Clevenger.

Prediction

1. Arrieta uses his arm at least one more time as a Cub to push that sun back in the sky and give us one more day of fall & Cubs baseball.

Cubs Win.

Arrieta struggles early and doesn't want to overwork himself heading into FA, gets pulled after 2 2/3

Gonna be honest...I'm gonna record this on the dvr and watch other stuff...checking the score on my phone, and then flipping to the recording if something good happens.

....this might be the last cubs game for the next 6 months and most certainly the last time you'll see Jake arrieta pitch as a cub.

If it's the last game, that means they lost...and I've watched enough of that over the last 4 days.

Well I've actually lost money on the last two playoff games selling my tickets so I'm hoping for a loss tonight so I can just get a refund for Game 5.

Yeah, I'm good. I'll be asleep by the 4th inning.

Game 4 I had four tickets in 506. With fees, paid $100 each. When I looked on Stubhub the morning of the make-up game, tickets were going for $92 in the section, so I put them up for $90. Sold two right away, and had the other two dropped all the way down to $40 a half hour before game time before I just let a couple friends take them.

Looked to be the same last night as it got closer to game time. There's 2 tickets in the 400 level for $80/each right now. I'm not holding out for a miracle, but the weather is supposed to be a good and a night at Wrigley beats a night at most other places, so I'm planning on trying to snag a cheap ticket before first pitch tonight.

Exactly my thoughts. You can explain Game 4 of the NLDS due to the weather but last night makes no sense at all. The whole year has been surprisingly bad for resale and then remember that ticket prices went up 20%.

i'm in "let's just extend the series to delay embarassment" mode

if we get it to 3-2 i'll get in hopeful look at the 2004 red sox mode

You're not already embarrassed?

Outside of maybe walking Darvish yesterday, which was more funny at that point, absolutely not.

I went to bed after the fifth last night and feel good about that decision

Dodgers will be completely overwhelmed by how fresh Davis is and will look pathetic against him as they try to add additional insurance runs.

Dodgers weakly squeak by 8-3

I'm going to watch to see Jake one last time. If we're down when he gets pulled, it will probably be close enough to bed time to turn it off.
