Maddon is making amends for pulling Hendricks early in Game 7. It's a small gesture, but I'm pretty sure that's why he almost got on base due to an error.

I haven't been posting in these game threads lately, but we absolutely need to PH for Heyward. He's killing us in these big spots and we got lucky that wild pitch happened.

 

I DO think the Cubs are going to tie up this game eventually. I have no idea what happens in the later innings though. Our bullpen this postseason sucks and I have little faith in our guys (Wade included). Hopefully the Cubs offense breaks out.

We have seven pitchers on 2+ days rest. In an elimination game, our starter who has given up 6 hits and 4 runs in 3 innings does not need to bat three times.
