Why are so many people liking this wimpy, diplomatic nonsense that someone clearly wrote and posted for him. Willson should and will be feasting on their bones.

why does willson hate jhoulys chacin, anybody know?

Probably because he has a stupid first name.

Yep he's probably not too fond of Jhonny Peralta either

I know it’s silly and feel free to scold me TT but Willy leads the league in exit velo after the first ~10 games.

Never. It's fun, it's neat! Treat it the same way we point out that Bryce Harper has a slugging percentage over 1.000, it's a delightful absurdity that we can enjoy.

Agree. The only thing I take away from it is obviously the K thing is/was dumb because it wasn’t that bad and we were hitting the ball hard and the RISP issues should find a normal level soon enough with guys hitting the ball hard.

As a team, we've hit the third-most "barreled" balls with 26, and we are tied for 19th with 8 homers. We're definitely hitting it hard, with poor results to show for it.

It feels like in between 2014 and 2015 Willson magically figured the horsefeathers out of how to be a very good baseball player. I know there was a lot of hard work and scouting and study and yada horsefeathering yada... but to me, after years following the #CoreFour & Schwarbs and all that horsefeathers it felt like he showed up pretty much the horsefeathers out of nowhere. I wonder where we would have been at catcher these past couple years (and currently) if he hadn't panned out?

The obvious, glaring flaw in that (I mean, there's a LOT of them) is that it hinges on the idea that Montero was ONLY traded because of that one incident.

I've purposely avoided that article but now that this is posted in the Willy thread my interest is piqued.

What does montero and Willy have to do with this? He's blaming the catcher?

Willy was critical of Yu so the author is wondering why that is being allowed of a veteran pitcher by a young catcher.

It's Darvish's 6th season and Contreras' 3rd; to paint it in REALLY broad strokes like it's potentially some raw-ass rookie just off the bus chewing out Nolan Ryan fresh off of his latest headlock is more than a tad disingenuous.

Yeah, I'm not even going to bother reading it to get the gist of the article. However, if we want to get real meatbally, as I'm sure our good friend Rick did...

Willson is a World Series champion and Yu isn't. Wouldn't Willson be in a perfect position to communicate the culture of winning to Yu?

I'm almost positive Willson came out Sunday after hearing his words got misinterpreted in the media to clarify what he meant about anything critical of Yu. He said he was either misinterpreted or used the wrong English words or something along those lines and everything "critical" and that what he meant was him and Yu as a battery and overall team need to be better and nothing he said was directed solely at Yu. I think Sharma for sure tweeted about it, but of course this hack writer just went with the click baity headline and storyline.

I was sure I'd seen that too but couldn't find it anywhere after Old Style posted the Morissey article...thought maybe I imagined it.

Here's one tweet, Rogers might have had some too, to clarify.
