We've got 30+ hours to sit and stew on the opening day loss. The players should feel shame for the distinct lack of dongs. Schwarber's half dong and Willy's regular dong was the only thing we got out of that game. At least this game features a pitcher that isn't afraid to throw to first!

Anyway, the BBQ was nice but I cannot have that all that frequently. Let's go with something a little more accessible and healthy in honor of the Cubs #2 starter this early in the season.

Stat of the day: Seung-Hwan Oh has given up 20 ER in his MLB career. 45% of those earned runs (9/20) have been allowed to the Cubs.

I'll be in attendance, my first Cubs game since early 2015. Please score lots more runs than the other team Cubs.

When the hell did you move to St. Louis from Seattle (or wherever exactly it was in the pacific NW)?

Could be our 20 run game we've been promised for over a year now

I'm more so expecting that off Lynn, but Waino is possible too.

We should drink and watch Cubs games and laugh at Cardinals fans together. I've been kind of on an island since woodchip left.

So a month in St Louis feels like a year? I believe it.

I thought I heard Montero was getting the start.

you might be right...i had forgotten about the jake/montero thing

in that case, my best guess is russell, heyward, montero for 5, 6, 7

Is there a world where Miggy catches Jake every 5th day (I'd prefer Kyle, but whatever), Schwarber catches Anderson/Monty every 5th day, and Willson gets the other three? Or is Schwarber catching only in late game situations? Does Miggy get more than 20% of the starts?

I can't imagine Schwarber being in any kind of regular catching rotation, barring injury. I know they've tested him a couple of times now, but I really can't imagine a situation where he'd be considered a starter with any sort of regularity unless Contreras got hurt or something. Especially given the quality we have at the position in Contreras and Montero.
