Altman seems pretty credible, he usually isn’t rumor mongering. I’d say if he says something he at least has heard something and there’s a basis for whatever he says when it comes to something like this. Whether it’s ultimately right or wrong who knows, but him and most of the Cubs Insider guys (outside of Loxas who they just brought on) don’t seem to be in the fake rumors/baseless speculation game and trying to break things.

I cant believe I googled Barry Manilow Vegas to try and verify if something named CharlestheCat was lying about being in Vegas.

 

But, I did.. and Manilow had a return tour in Vegas through October and is back again in 2019.. so a Manilow advertisement is very lucky.

Marlin was legit. He hasn’t had anything interesting in a while, so I’m not sure if he still has a contact, but he had a few scoops years ago. ABTY always made Charles the Cat look like Ken Rosenthal.

I read most every post and I don't remember a single person saying that we're a 95 win team without making any moves. I came closest, I think, and I said 91-93 with the addition of a couple relievers.

 

But exaggerate as much as you like to make a point, I guess.
