I wonder how Starlin Castro feels about this.

I hope the Cubs have a bus load of former players at tomorrow's parade. It'd be really neat if Castro were one of those players, but I'd imagine the Yankees might take issue with that.

msan i jus drank two bolttles of champane guys I love you

Judging by your posts last night, you got drunk in one heck of a hurry

XZero77 is Theo.

My finances would be in far better shape if I were.

In retrospect, pounding two bottles of champagne in a very short period of time after not drinking for about a decade was ill advised.

I don't regret doing that, but I both rue and lament it.

But ibuprofen and a Cubs world series title have taken the edge off this morning/afternoon.

So amazing, I haven't even begun to process this.

But man, when they tied it at 6-6, my soul literally imploded.

However I still remained confident. I was confident all day, it was a mix of the feeling I had before the wc game last year and the 5-0 kershaw game in the nlcs. I just couldn't see us losing but came damn close when they tied it.

Holy horsefeathers, just amazing and I can die happy. I would love to have been a fly on the wall for heyward's speech. Worth every penny!

We don't win this series without Kyle Schwarber. Talk about an October Surprise.

I'm so happy for him

I'm pretty much happy for everyone on this entire team (sans Chapman), they're all great, they've all worked their butts off, but no one worked 6 months to the bone like Schwarber did, incredible

Chapman is human garbage, but I do give him some credit for gutting out that 9th inning when he absolutely shouldn't have been out there.

And the fact that he supposedly begged to be out there when he didn't trust/have his number 1 pitch

Am I the only one that's done small things today like:

1) Go to the "2016 Chicago Cubs" page on BR to see the little banner that says World Series Champs, then go to their Team Index and see "Won WS (4-3)" under playoffs, and then finally going to the World Series page that says World Series: Chicago Cubs (103-58) over Cleveland Indians (94-67) 4-3

2) Go to wikipedia's Cubs page to see it say "World Series Champions 1907 1908 2016" as well as the page for "Longest Championship Droughts" and marvel at how you don't see the Cubs name at the top, they are all the way at the bottom of the active streaks section next to the number 0

In my head, I knew we matched up well and still had a very realistic chance after going down 3-1, but I don't think I actually believed it at the time. The moment it actually felt like it was going to happen was when they let the Russell popup drop in game 6. I felt like games 6 and 7 were both ours at that point.

I'm so glad I don't have to spend the next five months being angry about that non-strike 3 call that should have gotten Hendricks out of the 5th.
