And also Wrigley's super scary thunderstorms!!!!

lol, I mean...screw Berkman, but that was a crazy storm that night....Tornado sirens, etc...

Ooooooh, tornado sirens in the Midwest, that NEVER happens.

horsefeathers, he played for and is FROM Texas; I think the state national anthem is tornado sirens. He's a swollen-faced goober.

Haha, yeah but you take cover during a tornado siren....I mean come on. I mean he was funny about it, but it wasn't like he went running from a little rain shower or something.

Anyway stop making me defend Berkman.

I'm actually digging CM Punk on this coverage on CSN Chicago.

I thought he'd be super annoying and really hasn't been yet

He's so smooth on the mic, not over the top, sincere/genuine, and insightful. A great combo.

He took cover after thunder and no one else ran off the field.

He ran frantically and threw off his chain.

And at the same time Kaplan cannot let another guy finish a thought without interjecting.

Some dude I went to high school with is overly obsessed with wrestling and is a White Sox fan. His Cubs World Series rant was less mad that the Cubs won but more mad that CM Punk got to celebrate a Championship talking how he was a piece of crap. haha

It only occurred to me this morning: Game 7 required far too much attention to make any kind of dinner (I live on the West Coast), so I sprung for pizza. We had my favorite from Pagliacci's - a Parma Primo - prosciutto, mushrooms, basil, mozzarella, and goat cheese.

And here all you guys were bragging about the power behind your nachos and crab Rangoon. ;-)

Hahaha Fat Lance is butthurt 13 years later

Lance Berkman: No one was sorrier to see the Indians lose to the Cubs than the former Astros slugger. Appearing on an iHeart radio show Thursday morning, Berkman talked about several bad memories tied to the Cubs, including in June 2003 when fans sitting in Wrigley Field's left-field bleachers tossed Twinkies at him as they mocked his physique.

"Yes, I wanted the Indians to win. I hate the Cubs. In fact, I don't know if you remember this but I volunteered to push the button if they ever wanted to blow up Wrigley Field," Berkman said.

Bud Norris == Roger Clemens

Also, that [expletive] shirt.

I just spent $65 on the locker room hat and t shirt and another $280 at the MLB.com shop. Add to it the NL pennant total I spent last week was $150 or so, all money well spent. I just hope my MLB order arrives by next Saturday before I go to Vegas(doubtful)

I was just reading some SI article about the possible beginning of a Cubs dynasty, and this last sentence niggled me a bit:

"Will Nov. 2 be remembered as the first night of the Cubs’ dynasty?"

First off, I don't like to tempt the fates in that manner. Confidence is one thing, but I don't like to be premature. But more than that, I thought, "Now wait a minute, it really wasn't November 2nd. The game wasn't over until after midnight."

So really, all of yesterday's celebrating was the FIRST day. Today is only the second day of the post-curse/drought era.
