My 8-year-old son did his best to make it through the entire game but fell asleep once the rain delay started. I woke him up after the Cubs scored in the 10th and we sat side-by-side in a darkened living room, the only illumination coming from the TV. He maintained faith in the Cubs through the entire game. I tried to stop him multiple times during the game from saying the Cubs were going to win. No jinxes, I insisted. But he didn't care about any jinxes or curses. Those superstitions mean nothing to him - his Cubs experience is primarily good memories. I'm both happy for him and envious of him. What a time to start growing up a Cubs fan!

I've been a mess for 12 hours. A mix of sobbing and laughing and sitting in my living room with my dogs Luke and Rizzo confused as hell about what's happening. This site has been a godsend because I can't talk about Cubs baseball like this with people in the real world because it's always a mix of some 1908 [expletive] or "do you think they can do it?" over and over. Last night was incredible and all I could do was think about everyone, like Fred, that didn't get to see this. My god is it crazy how much this team means to all of us. Alright back to watching the game for the third time.

What are the odds I can find a full replay of the FOX broadcast somewhere? MLB Network has a condensed version running right now. I had recorded the game last night on my DVR but storms fucked it up plus I missed the 10th inning (didn't extend the end time far enough).

HEY, guys. We won the world friggin' series!

 

My lovely wife, bless her heart, did not get upset with me after I purchased $183 worth of t-shirts this morning.

I added everything I wanted to my cart and ended up at $539, so i have a little purging to do, lol, but also a great head start on my christmas list!

Just making up for lost time.

 

The good news is, there IS a shirt that has Kyle Schwarber listed on the team.

 

The bad news is, it's red with blue accent. I've always thought that is too confusing given a Cub/Card rivalry - you'd stick out at Wrigley completely the wrong way.

 

If anyone finds a shirt with Kyle's name on it, pls lmk what page on the MLB WS gear site it's on. Thx!

Theres a blue Nike one on MLB shop that does show Schwarber, but the same style at Dicks does not.... also a blue Majestic brand on MLB shop has him.

Do you happen to recall the page #? I'm barely 1/3 of the way through the list. MLB doesn't show that a thing is available in different colors - you have to look at each one. Smart of them, from a sales perspective, of course.

If you're willing to drop 2.99, iTunes sells all the games (not sure if it's for sale yet sometimes it takes a couple of days they didn't have Game 6 up yet yesterday).

Whatever happens tonight, I hope Joe is looking for a new job next season. I don't want to see him in Cubs uniform anymore.

 

is it ok if he goes through the world series parade before he gets fired?
