Pumped beyond belief but I want to reiterate I hope Theo is threatening Joe with driving his RV into the ocean if he keeps using Wood and Montgomery in anything past the 7th.

Start using Chapman like the Indians use Miller. 2 horsefeathers innings everytime & start him in a clean or relatively clean inning. If its the 8th and one man gets on bring in horsefeathers Aroldis.

Aroldis nearly pulled us out of that... but Gonz put in a great AB on one mistake.

Know whats really hard... stringing 3 straight hits together against Aroldis. Let CJ, Strop and Rondon dominate the 6th and 7th... and bring in the flame throwing goblin in the 8th and 9th & DOMINATE!

Aroldis has been on record stating that he's not as comfortable with multi-inning saves.

during the miggy at bat i really wanted jansen in because i was like if this one is going extras, we might as well squeeze whatever juice he has left out of him. but then miggy hit the dong and i was like oh yeah duh let's go ahead and leave joe blanton in

Awesome win, but we owe Dave Roberts a big thank you for sticking with Joe Blanton instead of going with a Loogy to face Miggy. And also one to Joe Blanton for not retiring 5 years ago like I'd assumed he had.

Contreras wouldve took the Loogy deep!

That was Roberts smartest move of the inning, it didn't work but it was the right move.

Yep. That one's not on Roberts at all. Blanton got away with a crap pitch on strike 2 and then threw another one on the slam.

Idgaf. Hes also hinted at wanting to be a starter before & i bet he would rather throw 2 innings starting clean than bases loaded no outs where a WP or BB has him needing to only throw strikes.

Plus his 2 inning quote was probably exagerrated & from when he was a Red playing in meaningless regular season games in empty ass Cinci for the Arm Crypt Keeper Dusty Baker.

If this gets to 5 Lester is going to be red-assed and unhittable, not going to give Joe a chance to pull him

This was exactly my thought when he pulled him tonight.

On second thought, screw Kershaw- let's smack him around and sweep this thing. Lester can be red assed for game 1.

Nah, I'm pretty sure there was a quote from one of his first multi-inning games as a Cub that he preferred not doing it.

I dont even remember a quote from him. I remember a reporter asking Maddon if he was aware Chapman supposedly preferred this & he admitted that he hadnt known that. I think he said he would talk with him.

Even if he doesnt like it... you use this rented Mule as much as possible.

I only remember the pitch because I was at the game but the hanger to Miggy reminded me of the Rizzo walkoff against the Marlins in 2014.
