The last seven playoff seasons, the Cubs have had s three game losing streak. That is a little noteworthy

In a trivia contest factoid kind of way, sure. In terms of meaning anything along the lines pf predicting how this or any subsequent series go? Come on.

yeah thats why i brought it up, but everyone is all antsy and wants to lash out lol

Yes, Ross has caught Lackey a few times this year. The numbers aren't that different from when Willson catches him.

I'm okay with this move, though it does create a black hole at the bottom of the lineup... AKA not a lot of RBI chances for Bryant.

hopefully, fatherly ross will have a nice and calming effect on lackey. that,or lackey hates contreras

I know Contreras grades out as a plus defensive catcher, but I still think you'd prefer Ross back there on the defensive side, after you factor in pitch calling, framing, the intangibles, etc. That makes the choice a little more of a wash in terms of who to start, and then you consider Contreras has a pretty significant advantage over Ross when it comes to pinch hitting, and I'm good with it.

I think if we need offense Joe won't hesitate to put in Soler early, either if Lackey has a short outing or if he wants to pull Heyward.

one thing the inability to watch a lot of Cubs games handicaps me with is that I dont have a good feeling for how far along Contreras is in pitch framing, so I get that point on Ross

but I want dongs.

Anyone feeling angsty? I've had 5[glow=red]Oatsmobiles[/glow] and I'm feeling fine but worried about making it to first pitch.

pardon?

Bells Oat Ale. It is delicious.

Contreras is not on the level of Ross and especially Montero, but he's above average compared to MLB as a whole.

I guess it's possible too Contreras got a little banged up or

something behind the plate last night. Don't mind Ross catching at all though, especially vs a LHP.

Ross is out there as a calming effect for the entire team, not just Lackey. Love me some Willy but I like this move tonight.

Hopefully he calmly drives in 7 runs.
