anyone watch the fs1 show on the team last night?

Even coverage of Alex Gonzalez and Steve Bartman, and it barely glanced over both.

Don't be surprised to see Chris Coghlan in the line-up.

Still don't think we see Cogs in there. Javy can absolutely not leave the game for the rest of the playoffs. With everything he brings to the table he is like the 3rd or 4th most valuable position player on the team.

So sorry Georgie and Cogs

Why are people moving Bryant to the outfield in a non Lester game? If Javy plays, that's where Zobrist belongs.

I'd also love to see Coghlan instead of Heyward, but that ain't happening.

I've also got MLB.tv premium. I'll be traveling today and staying with a friend who is a cord cutter so no MLB Network. I really hope I can stream it with MLB.tv.

Agreed on all cononuts. Would be great to get Cogs bat in the lineup but can't see sitting Zo, Javy, or JHey sitting yet.

And I've reversed my position from earlier this year. Javy is too valuable at 2B and KB too good at third to keep Zo on the IF. You get a LF upgrade with KB but at least in Wrigley's small confines I think you want the IF strength more.

So...same defensive alignment with hopefully Willson getting the call. I wouldn't be broken up if it was Montero though.

unlocator.com is your friend. if you are already an mlb.tv subscriber, all you have to do is enable that and use their DNS servers. Enjoy.

I thought the plan was to go this way with the catchers

Lester - Ross

Hendricks - Willy

Arrieta - MIggy

Lackey - Willy

If the Cubs were, say, the Giants and wondering where they'd get their offense from each series, OK, I could see really trying to get Coghlan in there. Or Contreras. But since this is a lineup of sexy bat-monsters, they have the luxury to go with someone like Heyward, who is at least all but a lock to give you baller defense (I don't trust the sorcerous deception of Coghlan's supposed late-career defensive renaissance for a second, and especially not if it means him or Zobrist ending up in RF), or someone like Montero, who frames with the deft touch of a Baroque master. Let the good bats do their thing, maximize your defense and pitching strengths and you still have Coghlan and Contreras to hopefully do damage off the bench if needed.

I'm a little worried that this is what I'm going to have to do. I have MLB.tv and a cable login, but not one of the providers doing MLB Network streaming. I've had mixed success using a VPN to tell MLB.tv I'm somewhere else, thankfully the early game should be a good guinea pig to test on.

I've used it all season for Cubs games when they are in Cincy/Atlanta because of blackouts. I've also used it for the playoffs last year and this year so far. It's 5 bucks for the month and it works.

I've never seen Joe say that but it makes sense. That said, Miggy is 3-11 with 4 walks against Shark in his career so that might play into things

Coghlan's working on like 940 straight innings of plus LF defense. He'll take a weird route every now and then, but even with the eye test, he's looked very good to me the last few years. I thought everyone realized this was more of a fun NSB meme than reality at this point. Coghlan in LF with Zobrist in RF isn't a bad alignment, though like I said, I don't think it will actually happen.

Yeah I have a Private Internet Access subscription, for some reason I can't get the config quite right to deal with MLB.tv consistently. Hasn't been a problem thus far since I live in Mariner country, but I'll be tinkering this afternoon to be sure.
