I've been saying that for a couple years now. But the guy took a month off and now hasn't hit for a month since coming back. I'd try and get him more playing time this week to see if he can get it together but I'm not sure he can hit anymore. It's not an attitude thing but taking a month off to hang at the jersey shore hasn't helped and could have had a real negative effect.

 

eh. has he had that many at bats?

 

he crushed a ball today that broxton died making a miraculous catch on

 

I think he's had 20 ABs or so which isn't a ton but its the type of frequency he should expect to see ABs in his role (20 AB over 15 games)

 

i don't mean that he necessarily needs more to be good. i mean that whatever he has done in that sample is meaningless.

That's fair, and I would definitely get him some starts in these 2 weeks to give him a chance to more definitively show if his bat is there or not. If the alternative is another LH bench bat that the jury is still out on(Coghlan, maybe Montero), or a RH defensive replacement(Almora), I'm going to rely on La Stella's track record though.

holy crap that reminds me, did everybody else know this quote was on the wire? Was what's her name playing us?

 

In the greek diner there is a sign between the main booth used by actors and the bartender/owner guy on the coke machine and it basically has that quote. I was cracking up when I saw it.

The actual quote is "It's nice to be important but it's far more important (to be nice)" with the last part covered by plastic cups in one clear shot I saw.

im really annoyed about how annoyed i am about losing last night and potentially losing today during our clinch week even though its meaningless baseball and we literally put out our C lineup today.
