Cubs have won 17 of their last 20 games

And the other 3 they led going to the 8th.

Close. They were tied going into the 8th on Saturday. Gave up the tying HR in the 7th

Where's ScrubMD at to complain about Joe using Travis Wood in the 9th inning again?

Weird to think this team are like, less than half a dozen pitches away from breaking the major league record for consecutive wins

Also this whole stretch proves incontrovertibly to the people that were like "oh well, from so-and-so date the Cubs have been .500" because lol. this team is ridiculous

At 33 games over .500, the Cubs have eclipsed last year's high water mark of 32 games over .500.

The next one to pass is 2008, where they topped out at 35 games over .500. After that it's 1945, where they peaked at 42 games over .500. The 1929 and 1935 teams got to 48 over .500.

Then there are the 1906-1910 teams, which peaked at 80!, 64, 44, 55 and 54 over.
