He's been on a really bad run of late. I think he's struck out in over 50% of his ABs the last 2 weeks

Probably has something to do with they let him face non LHPs for a while there. He needs to be protected offensively.

I actually think the Contreras in for D thing is more perplexing than Chapman. If you were going to take Ross out of the game why not let the better offensive player take the AB in the bottom of the 9th of a tie game

Could make a big difference this coming inning though, especially with Montgomery being the last pitcher you don't want to lose a rally because the pitcher was due up 6th instead of 7th.
