Wow that Mets lineup is real bad

Whats a "Nimmo"?

Struggled early, but his minor league numbers (328/409/508 in AAA this year) and pedigree (13th overall in 2011) indicate he's probably going to be pretty decent. And by that I mean he'll start for them and wouldn't sniff our startling lineup.

I really like Heyward getting another day off. Dude absolutely needs to get his act together at the plate. There's plenty of positives, not much has changed about his plate approach or discipline and he's actually hitting more flyballs. Basically the bad is that he is making more contact on pitches outside of the zone and less on pitches inside the zone, though without actually swinging and missing much more often. That jump in O-contact and drop in Z-contact is probably where the huge increase in popups and drop in hard contact are coming from. Sooooo....that needs to change and if a couple days off can help make that happen then more power to the move. I still expect a big second half and a key player in the playoffs.

This sure sounds real scientific.

Now is the time to spin him for Randal Grichuk, before he becomes Gary Scott.

i remember looking up gary scott's minor league stats one time, and wondering why in the hell he got any hype at all. i guess the cubs' minor league system was so pathetic that he was the best they had to offer at the time.

I'm more impressed with Almora at the plate than I thought I'd be. He's got some power in his swing.
