Upgrade the pen, Theo. We got Strop and we got Rondon. Wood is probably our 3rd best reliever.

There was no need to take Grimm out to bring Richard in.

Joe should have just left Grimm in. There was no need to get cute playing matchup in a five run game, much less to bring Richard in just because he's a lhp.

I mean, Warren got what, 4 grounders to the left side? Still not missing bats, but only one real problem ball right down the line.

Cleveland wins ...LOL @ Draymond Green and the Warriors. Now back to the dongs

Draymond would fit in well with the Cubs, with him enjoying to hit dongs all the time.

yeah and even though richard has been a dumpster fire this year, he's had a shockingly high number of ground balls reach the outfield.

problem is, when you can't strike hitters out (i.e. richard), running into bad luck on balls in play means you become useless.

Yeah, Richard was the problem with that inning. That said, Warren had poor command. Marte was helping him out until he missed location in the zone.

I really don't see any point in keeping Richard on the roster any longer.

WTF it's 6-4 now? Last I saw, Grimm pitched ot 1 person and was taken out for Richard. How many chances is he going to get

Look he gave us some good innings last year. He was really solid so Joe thinks he deserves every opportunity. That's fine but he's running out of chances. He keeps bringing him in for left handers but he can't get any lefties out. That is his ONLY reason for existing as a cub

Surely one of these guys can do better than Clayton Richards, right?
