As painful as it was, the fact that it shredded the souls of the Cards and their fans makes it all worthwhile.

I love that in the end, a win is a win. I won't remember that the Cards wouldn't stop making things difficult and wouldn't stop coming back, because in the end, it counts as a win. Except for you RD, bitches. Then this is like a loss or something.

Thank goodness. A win, a series win, the souls of the Cardinals stolen away. In the end not even that big of a deal in the grand scheme of the Cubs fortunes, but really nice to close it out, against all odds.
