"like joe buck said: i don't believe what i just saw..."

hawk is such an idiot.

Or the part where he was calling for someone to back up the catcher during an intentional walk, Stone told him that's not legal, and he tried halfheartedly to argue with him.

Apparently Salvador Perez was involved in a nasty collision right before the big Royals comeback.

Yeah, he could barely put any weight on the leg. Probably not good.

The White Sox have managed to become the dumbest and most futile team in the majors somehow

I don't think managers amount to much (look at Ned Yost) but how does Robin Ventura still have a job?

To add to the dumbness there are reports that the Sox are in talk to acquire James Shields for their top prospect Tim Anderson.

I hate that the royals are going to have injuries to excuse what would've been a mediocre season anyway

I'm normally with you, but odd team to hate.

Grindy overrated team that is built for the meatballs to love. What's the odd part?

Noah Syndergaard just got tossed for throwing behind Chase Utley in the third inning of a 0-0 game with no prior warnings.

I don't think warnings were necessarily needed in that specific scenario.

Joe Buck's self-aggrandizing "but think of the fans that came here to see Syndergaard!" talk annoyed me more than it should have. Maybe Syndergaard should've thought about the fans that came to see him before playing beanball.

it's stupid. the rule is that the umpire can throw a player out if he judges that the pitcher was throwing at a batter. there's no need for warnings. i don't really care about syndergaard throwing that pitch, but he doesn't miss like that accidentally. he threw at (or near) utley on purpose and got tossed, as he should have been.

joe buck can eat a dick.

Yeah, Ventura had a huge hand in that comeback. Stayed with Robertson for way too long, and Kahnle when it was clear he had little command.

Reminds me of a game when Ryan Dempster was closer and something like an 8 run lead evaporated like nothing. I think it was against the Mets. There's just something about bringing in the closer with a large lead that leads to chaos.
