Baez doesn't impress the Pirates announcers. Must have forgotten their names

I cringed when I heard that clip.

Javy is awesome, and from what I've seen in his interviews, is just an upbeat and positive guy. If you can't watch that guy and be happy, horsefeathers you.

The mean was probably going to say that he's sick of all the latin flair and fun that has come to his White Man's Game.

His body control is so ridiculous. He's going like 80 mph while sliding and he's still able to lift his arm and move his body away from the tag while swiping the plate with his extended foot.

I'd like to see a Statcast breakdown on this, too. And I'd also like to see a view isolated on Javy. How did he even score on that? I hand-timed it at 6.5 seconds from the ball hitting the bat to him touching the plate. And there was only 1 out, so it's not like he was running with the pitch and well on his way to third already.

MLBN did a live look-in & followed up w/ a OF camera showing Javy's secondary lead. It was ridiculous. He had to be almost halfway to 3b by the time the pitch got to the plate.

Joe mentioned the great secondary lead after the game.

In the offseason Javy should have a show where he does mundane tasks, but looks electric doing it. Chopping vegetables, brushing his teeth, taking out the trash. I'd watch it.

That slide, dear God that horsefeathering slide. Sex.

Javy brings his Roman game-winning slide to a league full of Gallic game-winning slides.

I can't stop watching this slide. It's hypnotic.

An underrated part is when he turns to the ump and says something -- I believe, "Safe!" -- to him while still sliding. You can see it pretty well in the gif Tim posted.

All that and the effortless pop-up. I definitely scared the neighbors on that play, you couldn't see him until the last second but I knew he was going to be safe. Javy being Javy \:D/ =D> =D>

Yeah, when the camera pans to the plate and you can't even see him, I'm like "Where the horsefeathers is Javy!?"

Javy seems to be the perfect guy to buy out his first few years of free agency. Seems like it could make sense on both sides.

Agreed. Dude's got an >.800 OPS with 20HRs and batting is his weak spot and he's pretty much the best at everything else baseball related. Lock him up with quickness.
