Just to keep things interesting, the Cubs played a close game and won for a change. In the absence of power, patience was there, as they waited out Nelson long enough for him to cough up the lead.

Tonight, they look to continue the streak for Jake Arrieta, who has now thrown 10 straight innings of no-hit ball. Maybe he can be better this time out than he was last time, when he threw more pitches than people would like for an Arrieta start.

yeah, a couple of days ago I decided I have to see Jake during this run so I bought bleacher tickets for this then I checked the weather... not smart. So hopefully they just call it off before opening the gates.

My weather app doesn't show rain til midnight...

Looking at the radar, I'd be shocked if that was the case.

I need someone to talk me out of buying Arrieta-related gear. The last two Cubs gear I bought were Prior and Wood. I'm worse than SI guys, but I think I genuinely love Jake.

Buy an umbrella and maybe it won't rain...or maybe your umbrella will just break.

Going to the game on Friday, so I'd really appreciate it if tonight's game or tomorrow's game (preferably both) are rained out. Worst case scenario, I'd like to see Lester pitch over Lackey.
