What's the story with Zobrist? The guy wasn't ever ranked as a minor league player, and didn't break out until age 28. I just figured he had been a highly touted prospect given how successful he's been, but I didn't realize his major league time has been relatively so short.

5th year college senior, senior sign, never projected to have power or a home defensively. Hardest worker in Rays system for years.

Cool. He's like a WSR fantasy come to life.

For every Ben Zobrist, there are 1000 Tony Campanas.

Nice outing by Hendricks. Though CSN's radar gun wasn't kind to him tonight, mostly 85-86 with the fastball.

Can't even really be upset with Hendricks for that double. That pitch was up and in.

He missed his spot, need to be mid 90s to have an effective FB there.

Why do so many writers use 9x27 instead of 9-27 when giving hits in AB info? I find it to be really annoying.

I have never seen that before.

Segura 0 for 4, send the Cubs lineup card to Cooperstown

Gonzales does it all the time and there are several others I've noticed too. Just making sure I wasn't missing some reason to do it that way on Twitter to distinguish it from something else.

Good start from Hendricks. I've missed most of the game and only saw him for a little over an inning. Sounds like he was 85-86 the whole night, though? Or at least that's what the CSN gun was saying?

Also, and this was one of my concerns, but Zobrist has looked like trash defensively this year. But I guess when you are on base over half the time, I can forgive you looking old in the field.

The CubsRelated guy(is that North on twitter?) just pointed out Hendricks' velocity, but they also pointed out Hammel had low velocity last night so it seems like a potential measurement issue too.

Heyward's been on base 8 times and scored 5 times already.

Going off memory I don't think he's been stranded yet. I think he was erased on one FC and two DP. Doesn't really mean anything but interesting.
